Ranbir and Neetu did not attend Krishna Raj Kapoor's funeral. Here's why

The week started on a sad note for the Kapoor family, as Krishna Raj Kapoor, the wife of legendary actor Raj Kapoor died at the age of 87 on October 1.. (Total Movie magazine: Now available in Pakistan, Subscribe now!)

Her funeral was held on Monday evening and some of the biggest names from Bollywood were seen in attendance, including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

Most of the Kapoor clan was present, except for Ranbir, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.

The real reason behind their absence was that they had accompanied Rishi Kapoor, who had gone to the US for treatment. Rishi had tweeted, "Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It's been 45 years "plus"of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon!"
